Entry requirements

Admission requirements at the University of Pretoria vary by programme and qualification. For international applicants whose school-leaving qualification was not issued by Umalusi in South Africa, UP requires the applicable Universities South Africa (USAf) exemption certificate, together with the qualification certificate, subjects and results documentation and any programme-specific evidence requested. Applicants must also meet the faculty and degree-specific subject and academic requirements; some programmes require SAT, IELTS or TOEFL results. UP notes that meeting minimum requirements does not guarantee admission because selection and available places also apply. Applicants should confirm the exact requirements for their chosen programme before applying.

Fees & admissions

Fees shown in the course details are programme-specific where the university publishes a verified figure. Always confirm the current intake, fee schedule and admission conditions with the university before applying.
